MLB The Show 26: Why the Trade Finder Was Removed (3 อ่าน)

18 พ.ค. 2569 14:20

If you’ve been playing MLB The Show 26, you probably noticed one big change in Franchise Mode: the Trade Finder is gone. For many longtime players, this tool was a quick way to see what every team might offer for a player. Its removal has sparked plenty of debate—but there’s a method behind San Diego Studio’s decision.

Why the Trade Finder Was Removed

1. To Stop Easy Exploits

The old Trade Finder made it way too easy to "game" the system. You could instantly see which teams wanted your player, swap low-value players for stars, and essentially build a super-team without any real strategy. SDS wanted to remove this shortcut so players have to think like real GMs, not just chase numbers on a screen.

2. Introducing a “Fog of War”

Along with the Trade Finder, the Trade Interest Bar disappeared. SDS deliberately added a “fog of war” mechanic. Now, you can’t just glance at a meter to know a team’s interest—you have to consider player stats, age, contracts, and team needs. It adds realism and forces more thoughtful trading decisions.

3. Simulating Real-Time Decisions

In real baseball, trades aren’t instant. The new system delays responses—once you propose a deal in the Trade Hub, you have to simulate 1–2 in-game days to see how the other GM reacts. This mirrors the real-life back-and-forth of baseball front offices.

What Replaced It: The Trade Hub

The Trade Finder isn’t coming back, but the Trade Hub offers a more hands-on, strategic approach:

4-for-4 Trading: You can now include up to 4 players per side, giving you more flexibility in complex deals.

Active Trade Slots: Manage up to 4 pending trades at once with different teams.

Trade Block & Rumors: You must actively list your players for trade or check other teams’ shopping lists to make deals happen.

AI Untouchables: The CPU can protect elite stars and top prospects, preventing easy poaching.

This system makes trading feel slower but much more strategic. You have to plan, negotiate, and watch how other teams respond—just like a real GM.

Player Reactions

The community is split. Offline realism fans love the immersion and challenge—it finally feels like you’re running a real front office. But casual players are frustrated. They complain that moving lower-rated players or minor leaguers now takes far too long without automated help. Reddit threads are full of debates over whether the Trade Finder’s removal improves realism or just adds needless grind.

Removing the Trade Finder was a bold move by SDS. It makes Franchise Mode more realistic and strategic but comes at the cost of convenience. For hardcore fans, it’s a welcome challenge. For casual players, it’s a reminder that sometimes doing things the “hard way” is the price of realism.
